Tea 101 Featuring Gert Ter Voorde, a Dutch national, Gert has been in the international tea industry since 1984 and has traveled extensively through the major tea producing countries. He worked as Director of Tea for a major British tea company for 17 years, and is now COO of Sungarden Tea. Also featuring Nicole Michaud who is a broker with Allied Resources, representing best in class and specializing in innovative food and beverage solutions for coffee shops. We would like to thank all of you for making Coffee 101 such a huge success. Now moving on to the traditionally under utilized (in our market), beverage category of tea in Tea 101, with the next installment of TMBA being Frozen and Iced beverages (to include desserts and food items), then Customer Service, Team Building and Marketing. Upon completion of all four seminars, each participant will be certified as a Master Barista.-Day 1: Restaurants and Cafes
-Day 2: Coffee Shops and Tea Houses
Tea seminar will cover:
- Tea training (from plucking to the cup)
- What are the current tea marketing trends.
- Why switch from standard tea bags to specialty loose leaf.
- Cafe and restaurant server training (how to brew & serve tea)
- Sunbelt Imports specialty loose leaf & tea bag offerings.
All students will receive upon completion of the class
The cost for attendance is $35.00 per person with checks made out to G.H.R.A. educational commitee. Seating is limited so first come first served!
